π Full Moon in Aquarius

The Courage to Create, the Wisdom to Reform
Every Full Moon shines a light on something we've outgrown. It reveals where we've drifted out of alignment and asks us to leave behind what no longer serves us to create space for the next chapter to unfold.
This Full Moon in Aquarius, during Leo season, brings two fixed signs into light. In astrology, the fixed signs are associated with stability, persistence, and follow-through. Leo teaches us to live with courage, warmth, and authentic self-expression. Aquarius widens our perspective, reminding us that our lives are part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Together, they ask a simple but powerful question:
How can I remain true to myself while contributing something meaningful to the world around me?
It's tempting to think this moon is about dramatic change, but I don't think that's its lesson.
Life is always changing. The real question is how we choose to meet it.
Some of us are beginning something exciting. Others are releasing a relationship, grieving a loss, caring for someone we love, questioning our direction, or simply trying to make it through another ordinary week. This moon doesn't separate those experiences into different stories. It reminds us that every chapter asks the same thing of us: to stay present, to keep our hearts open, and to trust that we don't need to control every outcome to move forward.
The Energy of Leo & Aquarius
Leo season invites us to participate more fully in our own lives. Ruled by the Sun, Leo inspires creativity, courage, and heartfelt commitment. It asks us to stop waiting for permission and begin building a life that reflects who we truly are.
Then the Full Moon rises in Aquarius. Not extinguish Leoβs fire, to give it direction.
Ruled by Uranus, Aquarius governs innovation, perspective, and collective wisdom. It challenges us to question outdated beliefs, reconsider what no longer works, and examine how the life we are creating affects the people and world around us.
As fixed signs, Leo and Aquarius both know how to stay the course. They are capable of maintaining routines, building lasting relationships, and seeing their commitments through to completion. But that same persistence can become rigidity, making both signs resistant to change when their values, vision, or plans are challenged.
It's when they work together that their strengths truly complement one another.
Leo creates. Aquarius reforms.
Leo pushes us to bring something meaningful into the world. Aquarius asks us to examine whether what we have built still serves the future we are trying to create.
Leo is incredibly generous. It will carry the team, the family, the relationship, or the workplace. It becomes dependable because others know it will show up. But Aquarius asks a question Leo sometimes forgets to ask:
Am I creating resilience, or dependency?
This Full Moon is not asking you to become someone new. It is asking you to create intentionally. Reform thoughtfully. Outgrow what no longer supports the life you are building and move forward with both courage and vision.
WHAT THIS FULL MOON GOVERNS
Every zodiac sign rules specific parts of our lives. During a Full Moon, those themes are illuminated, inviting us to reflect on what's in balance, what's out of alignment, and what may be ready for release.
This Full Moon brings awareness to the places where your creativity, identity, relationships, and future vision intersect. It asks you to notice not only what you're building, but whether what you've built still supports the life you're trying to create.
This moon governs:
Rather than forcing change, this Full Moon encourages honest reflection. What still feels aligned? What feels outdated?
What deserves to move forward with you, and what has quietly reached its natural ending?
Aquarius Rules
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet of innovation, awakening, and breakthrough. Traditionally associated with Saturn, Aquarius balances the discipline to build lasting change with the vision to imagine something new. Aquarius is naturally associated with the 11th House, the house of friendships, community, hopes for the future, collaboration, and the impact we make beyond ourselves.
Aquarius naturally governs:
This Full Moon Activates
Because the Moon is in Aquarius and the Sun is in Leo, this moon cycle highlights the balance between your personal identity and your role within the larger community.
It asks you to examine:
During this Full Moon, themes connected to belonging, shared purpose, long-term dreams, and the communities you build or participate in may come into sharper focus.
MANTRAS
After exploring what this moon governs, the next step is to give that energy language. These mantras are intended to help you work more consciously with the Leo-Aquarius axis throughout the lunar cycle: Leo as the courage to create, Aquarius as the wisdom to reform.
LEO MANTRAS
I Create.
I create a life that reflects who I truly am.
I Create with Courage.
I choose self-expression over approval, trusting that what I create is enough because it comes from an open heart.
AQUARIUS MANTRAS
I Reform.
I move beyond outdated beliefs, expectations, and systems that no longer support the life I'm creating.
I Reform with Purpose.
I welcome a wider perspective, trusting that thoughtful change creates greater freedom for myself and those around me.
FULL MOON AFFIRMATION
I create from the heart. I reform what no longer serves me. I release what no longer belongs in this chapter and trust that every ending creates space for a life that is more intentional, more genuine, and more aligned.
VIBE CHECK: AQUARIUS & LEO ENERGY
Every sign carries both an evolved expression and an unevolved expression. Neither defines who you are. They simply reflect how this energy may show up throughout the lunar cycle.
During a Full Moon, we often experience both signs at once, making us more susceptible to the gifts and challenges each archetype brings. As you read through these qualities, notice what resonates without judging yourself. The goal isn't perfection. It's awareness. The more aware we become, the easier it is to harness the high vibes, recognize the low vibes when they surface, and gently guide ourselves back into alignment.

JOURNAL / REFLECTION / MEDITATION PROMPTS
Meditation
Imagine yourself standing in front of a doorway leading into your next chapter. Before you step through, notice what you're still holding onto. One by one, set down the expectations, identities, fears, and stories that no longer belong to who you're becoming. As you walk forward, focus on one thing: keeping your heart open to whatever waits on the other side.
HOW TO WORK WITH THE ENERGY OF LEO & AQUARIUS
Awareness creates change. Embodiment creates transformation.
The intention you set under this Full Moon becomes more meaningful when you put it into practice. Rather than trying to master every lesson at once, choose one or two ways to intentionally work with this energy throughout the lunar cycle. Small, consistent actions create lasting change.

AQUARIUS FULL MOON RITUALS
Awareness creates insight. Ritual helps us embody it. The practices below are designed to move the lessons of this Moon Cycle out of theory and into lived experience, helping you work with the energy through perspective, connection, release, and intentional action.
This Full Moon isn't asking you to become someone else. It's asking you to meet this chapter of your life with an open heart, a clear mind, and the willingness to leave behind what no longer supports you.
Whether you're beginning something new, navigating uncertainty, grieving a loss, or simply trying to make it through today, these practices are designed to help you gain perspective, reconnect with yourself, and let go of the weight you're no longer meant to carry.
CONNECT WITH YOUR COLLECTIVE
Step outside your own perspective.
Spend time with people who challenge, encourage, or inspire you. Share what you're working through, bounce around ideas, or simply enjoy meaningful conversation. Sometimes the clarity we're searching for doesn't come from thinking harder. It comes from allowing ourselves to be seen by others.
REFRESH YOUR MIND
Create space for new thinking.
Meditate, read something inspiring, work through a puzzle, take a different route home, or simply unplug long enough for your mind to rest. A refreshed mind often finds possibilities that an exhausted one cannot see.
SEE YOURSELF THROUGH OTHERS
Sometimes the people around us recognize our strengths before we do.
Ask a few people you trust to share one quality they admire in you, one gift you naturally bring to others, or one reason they know they can count on you. Write their responses down and look for the patterns. Your identity is often reflected back to you long before you fully believe it yourself.
REALIGN YOUR PATH
Revisit the intentions you've been working toward.
Instead of asking, "What else do I need to do?" ask, "What is no longer helping me get there?" Look for habits, beliefs, expectations, relationships, or responsibilities that are draining your energy without moving you closer to the life you're trying to build. Before adding more, consider what needs to be removed.
FULL MOON RELEASE RITUAL
Every Full Moon offers an opportunity to let go.
The Fire of Leo: Write down the fears, expectations, identities, habits, or stories you've outgrown. Thank them for the role they played in your life, then safely burn the paper as a symbolic release.
The Air of Aquarius: Allow the ashes to drift away in to the wind, remind yourself that releasing isn't about forgetting the past. It's about making room to meet the present with greater courage, perspective, and peace.
SENSORY CORNER
One of the easiest ways to work with this Full Moon is to surround yourself with reminders of its energy. You don't need to use every crystal, herb, or color listed below. Think of these as invitations rather than rules. Choose what resonates, create an atmosphere that supports your intention, and let your senses become part of your practice.
Yoga & Movement
Heart-opening poses, Mountain Pose, Chair Pose, Goddess Pose, Locust Pose, Camel Pose, Cobra Pose, Child's Pose, Puppy Pose, Lizard Pose, and Dolphin Pose.
Parts of the Body
Leo rules the heart, spine, and upper back. Aquarius rules the shins, ankles, and circulatory system. Notice where you're carrying tension and offer those areas a little extra care this cycle.
Materials
Gold, lead, feathers.
Crystals
Tiger's Eye, Carnelian, Citrine, Garnet, Jade, Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Moonstone, Hematite, Pyrite, Goldstone, Agate.
If you're new to crystals, don't worry about choosing the "right" one. Gather stones in gold, orange, yellow, electric blue, purple, green, or clear tones. Think of it as creating your own wildflower field of this moon's energy.
Herbs & Scents
Chamomile, Frankincense, Lavender, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Juniper Berry, Rose, Thyme, Peppermint, Dragon's Blood, Patchouli.
Colors
Gold, Orange, Yellow, Electric Blue, Purple, Red.
Foods
Whole wheat, rye, oats, almonds, peaches, lemons, citrus fruits, sunflower seeds, garlic, figs, apples, walnuts, and pastries. If you'd like to fast in honor of this moon, consider avoiding spicy foods, meat, and dairy for the day.
COSMIC WEATHER
This Full Moon isn't happening in isolation. The surrounding skies continue to reinforce the themes of perspective, courage, and releasing outdated identities. Here's what else is shaping the energy.
β The Lunar Nodes Shift into Aquarius & Leo
Just days before this Full Moon, the Lunar Nodes move into Aquarius and Leo, beginning an entirely new 18-month cycle focused on individuality, community, leadership, and authenticity. This Full Moon acts like an opening chapter, examining where we've been living for approval instead of purpose and where we're ready to lead from a more genuine place.
β Pluto Retrograde in Aquarius
Pluto continues its retrograde through Aquarius, reminding us that meaningful transformation rarely begins on the outside. Instead of forcing change, Pluto asks us to examine the beliefs, identities, and power dynamics we've quietly outgrown. This deepens the Full Moon's invitation to stop carrying what no longer fits and to become more honest about who we're becoming.
β Saturn Retrograde in Aries
Saturn remains retrograde, encouraging us to revisit how we're using our energy. Where have we overcommitted? Where are we forcing something that requires a different approach? Retrograde Saturn doesn't stop progress. It refines it, making this an excellent time to simplify rather than add more.
β Neptune Retrograde in Aries
Neptune continues dissolving illusions around identity and personal direction. If something feels uncertain, don't rush to replace the answer. Neptune often removes clarity before revealing a truer path. This supports the Full Moon's lesson that presence is often more valuable than certainty.
β Sun Conjunct Jupiter in Leo
The Leo Sun joins expansive Jupiter, amplifying confidence, generosity, creativity, and visibility. While Aquarius asks us to see the bigger picture, Jupiter reminds us not to shrink while doing it. Growth comes from allowing ourselves to be fully seen without abandoning our authenticity.
CLOSING
The Aquarius Full Moon reminds us that life isn't measured by how perfectly we planned it, how tightly we controlled it, or how closely we followed someone else's expectations.
It's measured by how fully we lived it.
There will always be uncertainty. There will always be chapters you didn't choose, questions without immediate answers, and moments that ask more of you than you feel prepared to give. This moon isn't asking you to have it all figured out. It's asking you to remain present anyway.
Let your heart stay open. Let your perspective grow wider. Reinvent the roles, expectations, and stories that no longer fit the person you're becoming. They served a purpose once. They helped you get here. Thank them and let them go with gratitude.
The life you're searching for isn't waiting for you on the other side of perfection. It's happening now, in the conversations you have, the people you love, the risks you take, and the moments you choose to show up as your honest self. That's the real work of this Full Moon. Not becoming someone new. But creating enough space to become more fully yourself.
Earlier this year we learned that building a meaningful life requires courage. This moon reminds us that courage alone isn't enough. Sometimes growth asks us to pause, look honestly at what we've built, and have the wisdom to reshape it before continuing forward.
Remember: the moon doesn't ask us to have life figured out. It simply invites us to pay attention. Over time, those small moments of awareness become something much bigger: a life lived with intention.
Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of that journey. It means more than you know, and I can't wait to meet you back here for the next moon cycle.
