Is it time to change my life, or change how I see it?

October 26, 2026, at 12:12 AM EDT, at 2Β°46β€² Taurus.

Have you ever started something thinking you knew exactly what you were getting yourself into, only to find yourself later wondering how the hell things got so complicated?

Maybe you decided to make a change in your career, improve a relationship, get your finances in order, or finally start building a life that feels more like your own. You gave it some thought, figured out what you wanted, and perhaps even made a plan. It all seemed pretty straightforward at the time.

Then life got involved.

What started as one simple change uncovered a dozen other things that needed your attention. The plan that made perfect sense in your head didn't quite work the way you imagined. People reacted differently than you expected. Your priorities shifted. Maybe you discovered that some of the things you thought you wanted weren't nearly as important as you believed, while others turned out to mean more than you realized.

And somewhere along the way, you may have lost sight of what you were trying to accomplish in the first place.

Six months ago, during the Taurus New Moon, we explored what it means to build a life that genuinely reflects our interests and values. We questioned the comforts we'd mistaken for alignment, the things we'd grown accustomed to tolerating, and what security and stability really meant to us. We were planting the seeds for something better, even if we weren't entirely sure what that would look like.

Well, six months have passed, and the Moon has come full circle.

Full Moons are a time for reflection and release, and this one gives us an opportunity to revisit those intentions with a little more experience under our belts. Not to judge how much we've accomplished or whether everything went according to plan, but to consider what we've learned since we started.

Because there's a difference between knowing what you want and understanding what it takes to get there.

We're in Scorpio season now, and Scorpio understands that difference better than most. This sign isn't afraid to explore what's hidden beneath the surface. It knows that growth can be uncomfortable, that change can stir up emotions we'd rather not deal with, and that sometimes we have to venture into unfamiliar territory before we understand what we're really working with.

Scorpio doesn't need everything to remain the same to feel secure. It carries the wisdom of its experiences forward, finding something valuable even in the things it leaves behind.

But Scorpio isn't simply comfortable with change. It's determined to see things through. There's an incredible amount of willpower behind this sign, and once Scorpio commits to something, it can be remarkably difficult to discourage. It understands that transformation takes more than recognizing what needs to change. It requires the courage to confront what stands in our way and the determination to keep going when things become uncomfortable.

And let's face it, changing our lives can be uncomfortable as hell.

We get attached to our routines, our expectations, and the ways we've learned to navigate the world. Even when we recognize that something isn't working, there's often a part of us that would rather keep trying to make the familiar work than venture into something we haven't figured out yet.

Sometimes we confuse perseverance with stubbornness. We tell ourselves we're committed, that we just need to try harder, give it more time, or find another way to make things work. And sometimes that's exactly what we need to do. But other times, we're so invested in the way we thought things should happen that we become resistant to the very changes that could move us forward.

Both Scorpio and Taurus are fixed signs, and neither is particularly fond of giving up. They share a remarkable capacity for loyalty, endurance, and determination. But while Scorpio is willing to venture into the unknown to transform what isn't working, Taurus would much rather preserve and cultivate what it already has.

Neither approach is necessarily wrong. In fact, we need a little of both.

We need the determination to keep working toward what matters, but we also need the wisdom to recognize when our efforts are no longer serving the goal. Otherwise, we can spend an awful lot of energy maintaining something simply because we've already invested so much into it.

And just because we're capable of navigating change doesn't mean we always know when to stop, reassess, or change direction.

That's where Taurus comes in.

Taurus values stability, comfort, and the things we've worked hard to create. It's patient, practical, and deeply appreciative of what it already possesses. But Taurus can also be stubborn, holding on to familiar ways of doing things long after they've stopped being useful.

And if we're being fair, we can all be a little stubborn when we've invested our time, energy, and emotions into something we believed would work.

This Full Moon invites us to take inventory. To recognize what's growing, what's struggling, and what may no longer belong. Some things deserve more of our attention. Others may need a different approach. And some things have given us everything they were meant to give.

We don't have to regret the time we've invested or dismiss the value of what we've experienced simply because we're ready to do something differently.

We can appreciate what brought us this far without insisting it has to take us the rest of the way.

There's something liberating about that realization. We don't have to abandon our intentions just because the original plan isn't working. We can change our minds, adjust our expectations, and make different choices without losing sight of what inspired us in the first place.

And sometimes, the thing we need to release isn't the goal at all. It's our attachment to how we thought we'd get there.

That doesn't mean every obstacle is a sign to turn around. Some things are worth fighting for, and meaningful change often requires patience, sacrifice, and a willingness to work through difficult circumstances. But there's a difference between staying committed to something because it continues to hold value and staying committed because we're afraid of what letting go might mean.

The work we've been doing over these past six months has given us an opportunity to discover that difference for ourselves.

Maybe you've made incredible progress. Maybe you've barely scratched the surface. Perhaps you've spent most of that time uncovering things you never realized were standing in your way. Whatever your experience, there's something valuable to take from it.

Taurus reminds us to appreciate the resources, relationships, experiences, and wisdom we've gathered along the way. Scorpio reminds us that we can carry those things forward without carrying everything that came with them.

And as we prepare to move into the next lunar cycle, that distinction becomes important. Recognizing what needs to change is one thing. Committing ourselves to that change, especially when the path ahead is unfamiliar, is another.

For now, this Full Moon gives us a chance to slow down, acknowledge how far we've come, and release whatever is making the journey harder than it needs to be.

After all, the goal was never to follow a perfect plan. It was to build a life worth living.

🌿 The Energy + Vibes

♉ Taurus | Fixed Earth | Venus | Second House

Mantra: I HAVE

Taurus is the zodiac's curator of "The Good Life". Ruled by Venus, it appreciates beauty, pleasure, comfort, and the satisfaction of having something worthwhile to show for our efforts.

As a fixed earth sign, Taurus is connected to the tangible world. What we can see, touch, taste, create, and experience. Its association with the Second House brings our attention to personal resources, possessions, values, and self-worth.

But abundance isn't measured exclusively by what we own. It's also found in our health, relationships, talents, experiences, and the freedom to enjoy what we've created.

Under a Taurus Full Moon, we're encouraged to reconnect with these sources of richness. To recognize what makes us feel secure, what brings genuine satisfaction, and what deserves our continued care.

✨ Lean Into: Gratitude, self-worth, patience, generosity, financial awareness, sensual pleasures, creativity, and spending quality time with the people and things you love.

πŸŒ‘ Watch Out For: Overindulgence, possessiveness, overspending, complacency, stubbornness, seeking comfort through avoidance, and measuring your worth by what you possess.

♏ Scorpio | Fixed Water | Mars + Pluto | Eighth House

Mantras: I DESIRE β€’ I RECYCLE β€’ I REFORM

Scorpio brings emotional awareness to the things Taurus values. Associated with the Eighth House, it explores intimacy, shared resources, trust, vulnerability, and the deeper exchanges that shape our lives.

Scorpio is particularly skilled at finding value in what others might overlook. It recognizes that our experiences can be transformed into wisdom, that endings can create opportunities, and that even disappointment can become a resource.

With the Sun traveling through Scorpio, we're invited to explore what lies beneath our desires. Not just what we want, but why we want it, what we're willing to exchange for it, and whether it still holds the meaning it once did.

✨ Lean Into: Emotional honesty, vulnerability, meaningful connections, healthy boundaries, resourcefulness, forgiveness, and finding new uses for what you've learned.

πŸŒ‘ Watch Out For: Jealousy, suspicion, resentment, secrecy, power struggles, emotional manipulation, and trying to control outcomes.

πŸŒ• Working With Both Taurus invites us to enjoy what's already good in our lives. Scorpio encourages us to discover value in what hasn't gone according to plan.

Together, they remind us that abundance isn't just about acquiring more. It's also about recognizing what we have, making better use of our resources, and creating space for something different.

This is a wonderful time to appreciate the life you're living while considering what could make it even more fulfilling.

We can honor what we've built without becoming obligated to preserve it forever.

✍️ Taurus Full Moon β€” Reflection Prompts

Before deciding what needs to change, take a moment to revisit where you started. If you kept your intentions from the Taurus New Moon in May, pull them out. You might be surprised by how differently you see things now. Give yourself credit for what you've learned, even if things haven't turned out quite the way you imagined.

  • Looking back six months, what intentions have I acted on, and what have I learned along the way?
  • What am I holding on to simply because I've invested so much into it?
  • What am I afraid I'll lose if I change direction?
  • What deserves more of my gratitude and appreciation?
  • What am I trying to control that I need to allow to evolve?
  • Where have I allowed disappointment to discourage me from trying again?

πŸ¦‹ Other Taurus + Scorpio Things

Body + Energy: Throat, reproductive organs, root and sacral chakras.

Metals: Copper, steel.

Crystals: Jade, rose quartz, green onyx, moonstone, carnelian, hematite, and black tourmaline.

Colors: Sage and forest green, turquoise, mauve, burgundy, earthy browns, gold, and silver.

Foods: Comfort foods, artisan cheeses, roasted root vegetables, lentils, fresh fruits, grains, seafood, and rich, decadent treats.

πŸͺ„ Working With This Energy

This Full Moon is an invitation to slow down, appreciate what you have, and make room for what comes next. Sometimes a small, intentional experience is enough to reconnect you with what matters.

🌿 Get Grounded

Spend some time outdoors. Walk barefoot through the grass, sit beneath a tree, tend to your plants, or find a peaceful place near the water. Put your phone away for a while and let your senses take in your surroundings.

Notice the temperature of the air, the textures beneath your feet, the sounds around you. Give yourself permission to be fully present without needing to accomplish anything.

🌹 Indulge Your Senses

Taurus is ruled by Venus, so make pleasure part of your practice.

Prepare a beautiful meal and enjoy it without distractions. Take a long bath with rose or jasmine, put on something that feels wonderful against your skin, arrange fresh flowers, or fill your home with music and comforting scents.

Choose something that makes you feel rich in experience, not necessarily in possessions.

πŸͺ΄ Give Something New Life

Put Scorpio's ability to recycle and reform into practice.

Restore a piece of furniture, repot or winterize your plants, or find a new use for something you already own. Breathe new and creative life into your possessions, allowing yourself to appreciate them again with new eyes.

You might even return to an old idea that didn't work the first time. With everything you've learned since then, perhaps there's a different way to bring it to life.

Not everything needs to be replaced. Some things just need a little imagination.

🧹 Make Some Room

Choose an area of your life that's become cluttered. A closet, a drawer, your calendar, your finances, or even the commitments you've accumulated.

Consider what you genuinely use, enjoy, and value. Donate what someone else could appreciate, recycle what you can, and let the rest go.

Pay attention to how much energy you've been spending maintaining things you no longer need.

πŸ—£οΈ Speak Your Truth

Taurus is traditionally associated with the throat, while Scorpio encourages us to explore what we've kept hidden.

Have a conversation you've been putting off. Express a need you've minimized, acknowledge something you appreciate about someone, or finally say what you've been struggling to put into words.

You don't have to force a confrontation. Sometimes speaking honestly and kindly is enough to begin changing a pattern.

πŸŒ• Full Moon Ritual: Keep the Wisdom, Release the Weight

This ritual is about recognizing the value of what you've experienced without continuing to carry everything that came with it.

Set the mood. Find a comfortable space and surround yourself with a few things that represent Taurus's abundance and Scorpio's depth. Perhaps a green or burgundy candle, your favorite crystals, fresh flowers, a comforting scent, or a beautiful glass of something you enjoy.

Bring your reflections from earlier in the letter, along with two pieces of paper.

1. Gather what remains valuable.

On the first paper, write down what you're grateful to have gained over the past six months. Include accomplishments, relationships, experiences, discoveries, and lessons that came from things that didn't work out.

Don't overlook the difficult experiences. Sometimes they leave us with our most useful wisdom.

2. Identify what you're ready to release.

On the second paper, write down what you no longer want to carry forward.

It might be an expectation, a disappointment, an outdated plan, a fear of starting over, or the belief that something was a waste simply because it didn't turn out as you imagined.

Be specific about what you're releasing, rather than dismissing the entire experience.

3. Separate the wisdom from the weight.

Read both pages.

Recognize that you can appreciate what something taught you without remaining attached to how it happened.

Keep the first page somewhere meaningful. Fold it toward you as a reminder of the wisdom and value you're choosing to carry forward.

Take the second page and tear it into small pieces. If you prefer working with fire, you can carefully burn it in a suitable fireproof container, with water nearby.

As you release it in moving water (river, stream, flush it down, let it go away), remind yourself:

I keep what has value. I release what has served its purpose. I am free to find another way.

4. Return to yourself.

Finish with something that feels nourishing. A warm bath, a favorite meal, a little music, or a quiet moment outdoors.

You don't have to figure out your next move tonight. For now, appreciate what you've gained and allow yourself the freedom to move forward a little lighter.

🌌 Cosmic Weather

I feel like I say this every moon cycle, but it always seems to be true. Yet again, there's quite a bit happening in the sky around this Full Moon. Much of this energy encourages us to revisit things we thought we'd already figured out.

With Venus and Mercury both retrograde and Pluto adding some intensity, we may find ourselves reconsidering our relationships, questioning old decisions, and confronting truths that have become difficult to ignore. All things very much in line with our focus this moon cycle. The planets always find a way to support the goal!

♀ Venus Retrograde in Libra

October 3 – November 13

Venus began its retrograde journey in Scorpio before returning to Libra on October 25, just ahead of the Full Moon.

Venus governs our relationships, pleasures, values, and the things we consider worthwhile. During its retrograde, we're invited to reconsider where we're investing our affection, attention, and resources.

Its return to Libra brings questions of fairness, reciprocity, and harmony into focus. Are our relationships and commitments reflecting what we genuinely value? Are we making room for our own happiness alongside the needs of others?

This isn't necessarily a time to abandon what isn't perfect. It's an opportunity to recognize where a little rebalancing could make something good even better.

☿ Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio

October 24 – November 13

Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio just days before the Full Moon, encouraging us to revisit conversations, assumptions, and decisions that deserve another look.

Scorpio isn't particularly interested in surface-level explanations. It wants to understand what's really happening beneath them.

Old feelings or unresolved conversations may resurface. Information we previously overlooked could take on new meaning. We might even discover that something we considered a flop was simply an experience we hadn't finished learning from.

Use this period to investigate, reconsider, and clarify. Be mindful of misunderstandings, but don't be afraid to ask the questions you've been avoiding.

♇ Sun and Moon Square Pluto in Aquarius

October 26

Pluto brings a more intense dimension to this Full Moon, forming a square to both the Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Taurus.

In astrology, squares represent tension that challenges us to grow. Pluto is associated with power, control, transformation, and the things we sometimes struggle to surrender.

This configuration may bring our attachments and fears into sharper focus, particularly where security, independence, or control are concerned.

Notice where you're resisting change because something feels familiar, or where you're trying to force an outcome that may need a different approach.

The invitation isn't to tear everything apart. It's to recognize what has power over us and decide whether we still want to give it that power.

πŸŒ• The Bigger Picture

With so much energy encouraging us to revisit the past, this Full Moon isn't necessarily about making immediate decisions. It's about seeing things differently.

Venus asks us to reconsider what we value. Mercury encourages us to question what we believe we know. Pluto challenges us to recognize where fear or control may be influencing our choices.

Together, they offer an opportunity to recover something valuable from our experiences, release what no longer serves us, and move into the next chapter with a little more wisdom.

πŸŒ• Until Next Time As this Full Moon comes to a close, I hope you'll give yourself credit for the journey you've taken, including the detours, disappointments, and unexpected discoveries.

Not everything we set out to accomplish will unfold the way we imagined. Sometimes our plans need adjusting, our priorities change, or we discover that what we once wanted no longer feels quite right.

There's no shame in any of that. Every experience gives us something to work with, even if all we walk away with is a better understanding of ourselves.

For now, enjoy what you've created, appreciate what you've learned, and give yourself permission to leave a little baggage behind.

We'll meet again under the Scorpio New Moon, when it's time to take what we've discovered and consider what we're truly ready to commit to.

Until then, make some room for the good life. You've worked hard for it.

Rae🌹
